Patient database missing on a workstation

Post by elowdds » Thu Dec 16, 2021 3:29 pm

I am hoping someone has had a similar problem and can help me. One of our workstations boots up OD fine, but has no patients listed in the database. Schedule is fine, but can only pull up patients by clicking on the name in the schedule. This one station is the only one I have on Windows 7 vs 10. Not sure if that is a problem, but it has worked great for years until yesterday. Any ideas are welcomed and thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
E Low

Your database is on your server, not on your workstation. When you open Open Dental, you always connect to that database. So you must have simply connected to the wrong database, probably another one on your server. Go to a workstation that's working, and see which database you are connected to. That's in

That window is accessible from the main menu, and it also usually comes up when you start Open Dental, unless you've set it to not show.
