Marking Patient as VIP (same-day only)

Post by teethdood » Sat Feb 20, 2021 8:26 am

In an effort to reduce cancellations, we place chronic-no-show-disease patients on a "VIP" list, only allowing them to make same-day appointments if we have time, or inactivating them outright. How do you mark these patients as VIPs so we can quickly spot the VIP status when they call in? (such as when we type in their name in the patient search list). If that's not possible on the search list, how do you make them stand out? Thanks

For me, the easiest way to do this would be to add a pop-up for the patient. That way anyone that looks the patient up would be immediately alerted as to their status.

Hello,

I am a big fan of the patient dashboard and the appt note module.

If you click on Pat Appointments and see in the upper right corner of the pop up, there is a field to enter notes in bold red text.

Since not everyone opens the pat appointment window, I find it is most useful to combine it with the patient dashboard, as the appt note is a display field. A bold but vague VIP status would easily be seen
