We have updated from ver 5.2.13 to 5.6.7.0 and found that it is difficult to get an accurate treatment plan for existing patients with PPO insurance. For example now we would like to show Standard fee, Insurance estimate, PPO Discount, Patient portion it would require the following:
1) Make Global selection to change Category percentage to PPO percentage
2) If any fee schedule was selected in the patient information it needs to be removed
3) Make Global selection to apply deductible before percentage
4) The patients PPO fee schedule needs to be selected in insurance plan information
It is fairly easy to get all changes necessary for new patients, but it is difficult for existing patients that have treatment plans. It requires us to do #1 and 2 manually. Is there any way to make either of them fixable through the database maintenance? For example the Global Selection to change Category percentage to PPO percentage only changes new patients but not existing plans. Is there a way to make it change all plans in database? Is there any way to remove fee schedule from patient information section on all patients?
Well I am curious how others have handled the transition to the new treatment plan set up for their PPO patients. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
