Payment Plan

Post by calmdds » Fri Dec 18, 2020 9:31 am

We started to implement payment plans and it has been a smooth process. However, today we needed to make a new payment plan for a patient but it's now showing a balance in the patients account after completing some of the treatment. Normally it doesn't show a balance because it's attached to the plan. How should we fix the issue?

Hard to say without looking at it. Procedures are attached to the payment plan?

Yes all the procedures are attached to it. Once a procedure was completed it added to the balance so I'm not sure what we did wrong.

Is it a Patient Payment Plan or a Dynamic Payment Plan? If it is a Dynamic Payment Plan, check the Production tab of the payment plan. Does the procedure that is showing a balance on the account have a value in the Amount Attached column that is less than the procedure's fee? If so, clear the value in that column and click OK, and the amount attached should revert back to the procedure's full fee. If this isn't the issue, please contact support and one of our technicians can look at the account with you to further trouble shoot the issue, https://www.opendental.com/contact.html.
