Hi All,
I need help as I am stuck.
I installed the Trial Version of the Open Dental and I wanted to upgrade to full version (Open Dental 19.1).

1. I compiled the Open Dental Ver. 19.1 in Release mode with Solution platform as x86 using Visual Studio
2. I manually copied all files from (..\OpenDental\bin\Release) directory to directory (..\Open Dental) of Open Dental Trial version.

Question:
1. Is this the correct process to upgrade when I don't have update application?
2. When I start Open Dental I get a message “The expected version information was not found in this file: c:\users\awadh\AppData\Local\Temp\opendental\UpdateFiles\Manifest.txt”. And the Open Dental aborts when I press OK. How I do I fix this issue?

Hello Awadh. Upgrading from the trial version to the full version of Open Dental requires a registration key. To obtain a registration key you must sign up for support with Open Dental. I understood that I need support contract to get the registration key, which I tried to get. And I was told the support contract is only available to dental clinic. And I am a programmer. Not a dentist.

Hi Joes,
I found the issue.
I had trial version with Open dental 19.3 and I was trying to upgrade to full version with Open Dental 19.1.
I upgraded to full version with Open Dental 19.4 and all is fine.
