At my office we have some lab cases going back to 2014, 2015 and 2016 where patient's fell off the earth and we have no way to contact them, failed pay plans, etc. Their lab cases are still cluttering up our Lab Case unattached list though making it more difficult to keep on top of. The only way I've seen to make them drop off is to delete them or attach them to a previously completed appointment.
Any advice on how to handle cases like this?
What to do with old lab cases that won't be completed?
Re: What to do with old lab cases that won't be completed?
It would be nice if we could make the patient inactive and that should remove them from the Lab Case list, similar to removing patients from the recall list who are inactive, but that does not appear to be the case. It seems the only way is to finish the lab case (i.e. check them in and quality control check them which will remove them form the lab list).
Unfortunately, this seems like a convoluted solution.
