Patient Dashboard - 19.1 Version

Post by kezian » Sat Jun 15, 2019 4:03 pm

19.1 Version Patient Dashboard -

Great feature in new version of OD 19.1 - allows you to add any custom features and important patient data on your screen in a large font. This is very useful to fill up all the dead space in the patient module, account module with important "in your face" information or data about the patient such as balance, next recall date , referral source, insurance benefits rem, e mail ,special notes about the patient etc. all customizable -

One big problem - it works on all modules !! You can NOT deselect it on the CHART module and the APPOINTMENT module. its either all the modules or none that have to display the dashboard. Thus if you use this new dashboard it will take away important space on the appointment module and will probably not be used by most offices that need to have at least 4 columns displayed on the appointment module.

So if Open dental is listening - Please allow the option of where to show the Dashboard for each module or by default - Do not show it on the Appointment and Chart modules prior to the 19.1 release -

Thanks

Agree. Been playing around with 19.1 at home. If I implemented it in the office, the front desk would kill me. We have eight columns showing in the appointment module. The dashboard seriously reduces the column width of each provider.

I know OD will fix this.

Kezian,

Can you submit a feature request to only show the patient dashboard on certain modules? This is how we know what is high priority for our offices so we can fix.

It would be nice if they would make it responsive instead. That way you can accommodate a wide variety of monitor formats

Love the concept, implementing the dashboard on different screen sizes is an issue for sure. I think the simplest programming solution at the moment would be do it like the docked task list on a computer by computer basis instead of user only to avoid complete usability with the pt Dashboard open on 4x3 screens and lower resolutions. Not showing on the appt book would have it's pros and cons as well. Does need to be an option at least.

Since we started with v 19.2.6 this morning, made some adjustments, narrowed the basic panel to 220px and slimmed down the sizes of things to fit, works better overall. We really miss tasks docked to the right though on our widescreen monitors. (Docking to the bottom doesn't work nearly as well) Maybe make it an option to add tasks as a sheet option so it can be part of the dashboard? Either the normal task control that can be docked or a slimmed down version with just the task lists and hide the task setup buttons, etc so it would fit better.
