Complete from drop down menu

Post by Jorgebon » Wed Sep 12, 2018 11:57 am

In previous versions, if you double clicked a procedure and then selected "complete" from the drop down menu, it would set the procedure complete without changing the progress note. This was useful when you had a patient where you had previously selected "Set Complete" from the procedure or the appointment and then found that the insurance plan was not correct. You could select the procedure and choose "treatment plan ", fix the plan definition and then select update fees in the Tx plan module. After this you could select the procedure and choose "complete" without affecting the progress note. Now it will change your progress note by adding the default note for the procedure after your finished progress note. I'm on version 18.1.42. Is this change permanent? It defeats the purpose of having a "Set Complete" button and a "Complete" alternative in the drop down menu right next to each other.

I've started an internal discussion voicing your concern. I'll get back to you once we come to a decision on this topic.

Our friend Jason Salmon decided that we will revert behavior back to 17.3 so setting the dropdown to Complete will not add the default note.

One of my fellow engineers made it so setting the dropdown to Complete will not add the default note. Will be in version 18.2.25 (which will be stable soon).
