Breaking appointment - Must attach a procedure to adjustment

For the past few versions, when I break an appointment and it goes to Edit Adjustment, when I choose BROKEN Appt - No show or whatever, it wants me to attach a procedure to the adjustment. I don't know what to pick so I just hit cancel. A lot of times the list of procedures to attach to the adjustment is empty anyway. It used to not prompt me for this. What is going on and what should I be doing here?

When you break an appointment, you have the option to always attach an adjustment. If you don't desire that, you can go to Appointment Module Preferences in the Behavior tab and uncheck "Make broken appointment Adjustment". If you want to create an adjustment but don't want to attach a procedure to it, you can go to Account Module Preferences in the Pay/Adj tab and change the Enforce Valid Adjustments to Link Only or Don't Enforce.
