eConfirmation for new additions?

Post by josiedds » Thu Apr 27, 2017 8:47 pm

Hello,
I currently have my eConfirmations set up to confirm 10 days out. But, let's say a patient gets added to the schedule a few days later. Is there a way to send an econfirmation to them? I know it won't be automated but isn't there a way to manually shoot them that text / email?

There's a Text button within the Confirmation List window you could use.

When the patient is selected, there is always a Text button at the top of the screen close to the E-mail button.

You can even use the Text Messaging Inbox to see your entire conversation with the patient up to this point and then send a text via that window.

There are lots of ways to use integrated texting.

Well, yes, I understand I can text them manually, etc but I was wondering about the email feature where they can click confirm and OD automatically updates their appointment as confirmed.

Then you are only interested in the very first link I mentioned.

It looks like I lied to you. The only confirmation messages that can be replied to and digested automatically are the automated eConfirmations, not the manual ones.

This is currently Feature Request #5135 - Option to re-send eConfirmations. Ironically I made a comment on that request back in January stating my shock that it isn't considered a bug.
