how to record personal info on a patient

Post by adam333 » Wed Jan 25, 2017 2:18 pm

Part of our job is psychologist, counselor, remembering how little bobby is doing in school. Currently i am using the patients notes to write this info down, so that I can remember how to ask how bobby is doing in school. The problem though, is that my clinical notes make it hard to find the personal stuff.
I would love a separate section dedicated just to personal stuff. such as the location in the chart right below the picture of the teeth (big white box where you can type) the problem with this location though is that its right in the front so that the patient can see it, if they glance at the computer. does anybody have any recommendations on where to type this stuff?

Thanks

Clinical notes in the medical history chart (pink section) are great, as they're not viewable unless you have the Med Hx open. Granted, it's not the intended use of that field, but it may be what you're looking for: http://opendental.com/manual/medical.html

We've been considering adding a "social psych data" section to the program for this sort of thing. It seems to be a popular subject for EHR users.

Rename the ortho chart button to "Personal Chart"
1- just make a pop up to read this patient "Personal Chart" OR
2- write a "reminder note " (of your choice about the Personal Chart) in the big white box where you can type , right below the picture of the teeth

Add Tabs/Rename the Ortho Chart Button

We use the text box below the graphic chart for this purpose. What is this box intended for?

That box is intended for patient level notes. So that is a perfect place for this type of information.

Back in the day I helped develop the user definable Patient Fields which might be another place to check out:
