On our Query Examples page there are a couple which might meet your needs:

Query 590 - List of Patients with balance over 90 days AND Billing Type is "Bad Debt-Sent to collections"
Query 1080 - Aging for families with any balance with 90 - 120 and billing type filter

Our query examples page can be reached at: http://opendentalsoft.com:1942/ODQueryL ... yList.aspx

How do you define bad debt?

I thought there was a new classification called bad debt. I would call bad debt someone that is over 6 months of not paying...

I would like to get these types of people off of my aging report but still be able to pull them up on their own report

So you want an Aging report that shows families with balances at least 6 months old?

To remove them from your Aging, are you going to writeoff the balances? I'd recommend changing their billing type so that you can still report on those patients, but you have the option to not include that billing type in certain reports when you don't want to.

I actually want to create an aging report without the people with debt over 6 months. I still want to be able to pull them up...just separately

We could write a custom query that excludes patients who have not had any new charges in the last 6 months. I looked through our query examples page and didn't see anything that did what you are looking for. You can fill out a custom query request on our website:
