schedule procedure automation

Hi,
just updated to 16.2.52.0.
I wanted to try the schedule procedure automation trigger to create a pop up warning. I usually have to get a pre-authorization for D7240 from my third parties so I wanted to add a pop up for that. It turns out the trigger only works when you go through "make appt". We go through appointment planner and copy our appointment usually to the pinboard. If you go through appointment planner the schedule procedure trigger does not work!
Any ideas, comments? Any other solution to create a warning for procedure codes that need pre-authorization?
