EOB images and rotating image

Post by Annesa94 » Fri Sep 09, 2016 12:20 pm

When we scan EOBs via the batch insurance payment window, the images need to be rotated (landscape orientation) in order to view/read them. Is there an option to rotate the images in this area or a way to configure the viewing so we can rotate images? I know if we scan a document via the images folder in the patient chart, the rotate image option is there. However, the option isn't available in this window. Is this something I am missing in setup? Thanks in advance, Anne

Does your scanner software offer a way to change the orientation?

I have to deselect auto rotate in order for it to scan the entire image. Otherwise, the scanner chops out 2/3 of the image. So, I can't seem to change it from the scanner settings, as far as I can tell. I'm perplexed why there are rotate buttons in the image windowin patient charts but not in the EOB image window. I'm wondering if it has to do with setup options, but I couldn't find one that applied... Thanks for responding!

We have just never had that requested. Good idea. Put in a Feature Request and send me an email with the feature request number to nate.sparks@opendental.com and I will have that feature added.

Have you tried another scanner? to see if it is related to the scanner setup
We have 3 scanners, and we are OK
