Can we discount to a certain $ amount?

I like the discount function, and use it often.

However, sometimes the maths is confusing for me and my lovely ladies

Eg I might have a bill of $573.35, and want to discount it to $480 as i quoted to the patient

Is there any way we can add this to the function box, so instead of having to figure out what 573.35 - 480 is, and then put (27.35) in the discount, just put $480 in somewhere>

I think discount is simply a separate transaction which means it doesn't attach to a treatment cost so I don't think you can do what you want with current functions. But it's simple to use and implement.

You may want to add a discount button to the Payment dialog to add discount but it's need to modify existing code or a plugin. Another way is change the procedure cost in manually in Procedure Info dialog but this does not give you discount records.
