Changing the computer that is allowed to run updates.

Post by ForrestGumpDDS » Sat Nov 28, 2015 7:00 pm

I noticed that right now all the updates are allowed to be checked for and installed from one computer.
Having a listener service installed on a different computer brings a problem now with the listener service. The workaround I found is to uninstall the service, then run the update from the setup file in the OpenDentalImages folder and then re-install the service.
Is there any way to re-assign the machine on which the updates are allowed to run to a different machine?
Thanks

Change the Update Server Name setting in the Miscellaneous Setup window:

The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
