Attention Ohio users:
Starting October 1st, 2015, prescriptions must comply with the new rule in OAC 4729.
Prescriptions cannot use check boxes to determine if generic substitution is permitted. In Ohio, the rule in OAC 4729 states that the prescriber must hand write in wet-ink “DAW” or “Dispense as Written”.
I have shared a template that can be used in Ohio to comply with these rules. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5941
In addition, providers using eRX in Ohio must print and sign a copy of the Prescriber Report every day, found in the Admin tab of eRX. These reports must be kept on-site for a minimum of three years. No other form of signature is considered valid and legal for eRX in Ohio. This includes Two-Step Authentication for EPCS.
