Insurance Payment Plans

We recently updated Open Dental and are starting to use the updated Insurance Payment Plan feature. What is the best way to enter insurance payments using the new feature?

In the past we were entering insurance payments in the claim by "Total". Now it is creating a problem with production reports as the payment is being dated back to the date the claim was made instead of the payment date.
