Time lock

Post by jonesrdh » Thu May 07, 2015 6:18 am

I feel like I knew the answer years ago but how do you assign time length to certain procedures. For instance a PerEx, Pro, 4BX is 50 min. For some reason every time we add or delete anything from the apt list it shrinks the apt to 20min.
I saw that you can click "time lock" so the time doesn't change but is there a default setting for this or do I need to select it every time?
Thanks.

Go to Setup - Module Preferences
On the Appts tab check "Appointment time locked by default"
I keep it locked by default but when we are setting up an appt we unlock it so OD can attempt to calculate the correct time length. If necessary we modify it and then relock it.

Thank you very much. How do I set up OD to assign different times to different appointments. It seems to default anything with a Pro as 20 min.

I think you want to look into the Time Pattern portion of the Edit Procedure Code window:

Unless of course you're referring to when you create recalls which would then be the Time Pattern portion of the Edit Recall Type window:

The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
