We are running into issues with some medicaid claims that are supposed to be marked as "EPSDT". I don't understand it completely, but it apparently means that a procedure should be covered as "medically necessary" even if it normally isn't covered.
The ADA 2012 claim form has a box for it in the upper left but open dental completely ignores it and doesn't have a way to check it off.
Anybody know how this needs to be done? In the mean time I guess we will print it and mark it by hand.
EPSDT checkbox on ADA 2012 claim form
Re: EPSDT checkbox on ADA 2012 claim form
This would be a relatively easy feature request to implement an indicator for the printed claim form since we already have it working for electronic (5010) claims (completed request #1466).
For other users, to indicate EPSDT from within the claim edit window, go to the Misc tab | Special Program combo box.

The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
