claim status
An issue we are having is that claim status automatically changes to Sent whenever you print a claim. This is a problem for us, mostly with preauths, since we print 2 copies for our paper chart and file. The person doing this then has to remember to change the status back to Waiting to Send so that when I send electronic claims, the preauth actually gets sent. It would be helpful if instead of automatically changing, a query menu could pop up and ask if we want the status to be changed.

Open Dental deliberately changes the status of the claim when printing because most offices either print claims or send them electronically, not both. I would recommend you do is submit a feature request.
