HELP! Apteryx Cliniview Database Locked

Post by savvy » Mon Dec 01, 2014 5:26 pm

Greetings,

Last Wednesday at the end of the day our Apteryx/Cliniview program gave error stating that the database was offline.
We could not connect to the patient files.
The Patient folder is located on our Data drive, remote from the program files.
When we tried to mount the database, an error stating that there was no read/write permission on DigX files.
Today the Instrumentarium tech spent almost 3 hours trying to fix the problem.
The error kept coming up.
He tried to copy all the patient folders but again, no read/write permission with DigX files.
All other programs on the network wok fine.
When we run the Cliniview with an empty Patient file in the program files directory, it works fine adding new patients through OD and Cliniview.

Fortunately, I can take x-rays as if it were a new program with an empty database, but can not view any of the existing films.

How can one unlock the database?
Candy is dandy, but sex won't rot your teeth.

Cheers!!!
Go Bears!!!!!

I hope it's not malware. Have you scanned your network with your AV since Wednesday?

VICTORY!!
Computers got nothing on me....
DENTIST 1
Software Tech 0

Persistence!

As the sayings go:
"You gotta own it"
or
"Own up"

So that's what I did....I took ownership of the folder from Administrator.
As the new owner, gave full access to everyone.
VOILA!!

If you were here, I'd give you all cigars....or spliffs....if that's your pleasure.
Cheers!!!
