DentalXchange question

Post by Pruce Dental » Wed Oct 08, 2014 7:28 pm

This question is to OD user DentalXchange member...

Are there any plans with Dentalxchange to allow ERA's to automatically download to the report path in OD? Open dental has been recommending your product as the best clearing house to use to new OD users for years and it seems silly that the ERA feature in OD doesn't work for Claim Connect users. Any chance you can get your people to work with Open dental Staff to make this integration work? If not I am probably going to start looking for a new electronic claims processor.

I also ran into this problem and I have been looking at EDS which seems to offer a better option but have not signed officially yet.

So umm..this question is to everybody else...

Which electronic claim services integrates and works with the ERA feature in OD? Who should I be signed up with instead?

We are currently in the design phase with DentalXChange to better automate the retrieval of ERAs.

To piggy back on the Open Dental comment from10/16 at 11:16 am, we are excited and thankful to the resources that Open Dental has applied in improving the new ERA process and increased automation. Thank you to the Open Dental users as recognizing DentalXChange as the preferred Clearinghouse.

At the time of the next development launch of the ERA enhancements, if you, Pruce Dental, would like to provide feedback directly to our vendor team, we would to reach out to the Vendor Account Management team at vendorrelations@dentalxchange.com. At this time, you will have the team to offer your needs and opinions. Between Open Dental and DentalXChange, we drive to meet your expectations. This product is built for you, the user.

I am looking at choosing a clearinghouse. ERA implementation would be fantastic, what is the status of this? How soon would I be able to utilize this feature?

In Puerto Rico, this feature has been working for a few years already. OD is now semi-automatic down there ,and , works like the documentation says. The clearing house name is Inmediata. They are local in the island. So my question is, why is this such a big shore here in the States ? I called Claim Connect and they told me they can make it available for downloads but then you have to go through a process to make it appear in the Claim History.

Any updates to this old thread?

Are we any closer to having ClaimConnect download the reports directly into OD?

If not, which clearing house should I be switching to soon...

We are excited to announce that DentalXChange will be releasing this feature to be compatible with OpenDental to further enhance the ERA functionality we have in place. This feature will be released to OpenDental within the next month, and we estimate that OpenDental will also have some programming time, and expected rollout will be late this year. If you have any questions on this process, please email VendorRelations@DentalXChange.com and we will be happy to answer any questions.

Thank you for your continued support!

Any updates on this? Seems to not be included in version 15.4 right?

We were just notified that their application program interface would be going live soon so that we can take a look and figure out what (if anything) needs to be done in order to get things working within Open Dental.
