Panoramic images printing with office/patient info

Post by Nadal » Thu Sep 18, 2014 11:30 pm

hi everybody, 1st off i have to say i love open dental!
before i was using Dmax, so glad i got rid of it.

the question i have is when i print out a Panoramic image is it possible to include the current patient info, my office info in the printout?

currently have to put a label on the print out manually.

is there a plug in or setting i can use, I'm very tech knowledgeable as I'm the tech admin of my office.

thanks a bunch for any help any of you can provide.

Are you capturing the panos into Open Dental or using other imaging software for patient images?

So it looks like you are capturing into OD and not using an external Imaging application. Currently OD's functionality to act as an imaging application is limited. In the newest version of OD, there is the possibility of importing patient images into the sheets framework and you maybe able to create something that way. You can use the option you referenced which is to print an xray label from your label printer and apply it to the xray. The last option I know of is to export the image and then put it into a document you create which would have the patient info.
