unscheduled apointment list

Post by sam-I-am » Mon Jul 07, 2014 10:22 am

Is there any way to get to a patient account from the unscheduled list without exiting the list and then having to type in the patient name?

It's feature request #624

Any workaround that I can think of ends up with the window closing and having to do some crazy appointment dance which I don't want to recommend.

Somewhat of a workaround still but you can have two Open Dental windows open. Have your unscheduled list in one and look up your patients in the other.

Not a bad idea, having two copies running...it would be nice if you could, say, right click on a name, to let you 'goto account', the way you can in the 'sending insurance claims' window. Or at least give more information on the unscheduled appointment screen, like if they owed us money, etc.

That is a very old part of the program and needs to be updated for sure so you can click right to the pt's chart.

And if this is going to be ever updated, while they are at it, it would be nice if a patient was taken off of the list automatically if an appointment is scheduled for them after they are placed on the list. As of now, we have to check every time, before we contact a patient, to make sure they haven't already call and scheduled themselves.

I vote for one master list that can include all or filter what you want...ie, planned, recall, broken, etc, so there is one place to go and where the patient will only be listed once instead of maybe on multiple lists at once. Also, if they have recently been contacted, have them not show again for a certain number of days (like the current recall list functionality)
