Proposed to Default Treatment Plan

Post by teethdood » Tue Aug 27, 2013 3:42 pm

I created 2 different proposed treatment plans:
Plan 1) RCT/BU/Crown #3
Plan 2) Implant/Abutment/Crown

After creating plan 2 and saving as "proposed", plan 2 is still the default. How do I make Plan 1 the default if the patient chooses to do the RCT?

They will both stay in the default unless you delete them. You can click to highlight what tx you want and choose #1 on the right to prioritize...

OK this is what I'm getting:
Proposed Plan 1)
RCT #3
Build Up #3
Crown #3
Proposed Plan 2)
Ext #3
Implant #3
Implant Abutment #3
Implant-supported Crown
Default Plan
Ext #3
RCT #3
Implant #3
Abutment
Implant-Supported Crown

What happened to the Build Up and the Regular PFM Crown, if what you said is true?
There should be an easy way (right click | set to default) to turn proposed Tx to Default Tx, as the default Tx is what gets used to make appointments, etc.
Thanks

Every procedure in the patient's chart that has a status of TxPlan is listed in the Default Tx Plan.
Procedures disappear from the Default Tx Plan only when the procedure is either completed or deleted from the chart, or changed to Condition or some other status.
Procedures that are in a Saved (or Proposed) Tx Plan remain there even after completed (that what "saved" means). The completed procedures are marked with an 'X' in the Done column on the left, but they don't disappear.
Your Saved (Proposed) Tx Plan is only a record (snapshot) of what you proposed. You use it to show the patient different options. If you choose option B, procedures that belonged only to Option A will remain in the chart and on the Default Tx Plan until you delete them. But you will still always have a record of having proposed them because you saved Proposal Option A (unless you delete that Tx Plan).
Check to see if your missing procedures are in the patient's chart and if they have a status other than "TxPlan". If they aren't in the Default Tx Plan you probably inadvertently changed their status or deleted them. You can't bring them back from the Saved Tx Plan. You have to recreate them in the patient's chart.
As you decide what you are doing you move and group procedures on the default Tx Plan by setting their priority. You can also use that so your front desk knows what to set up for each future appt.
