I logged onto my Windows 7 account and there is a new user created, called "piress."
I did some internet searching and it appears to be a virus, specifically linked with MySQL:

This got me very nervous, as Open Dental's data is via MySQL.
I have backup copies of my data, but how do I know my backup Open Dental data is not corrupted?
Any suggestions for cleaning this out?
Anyone else have this problem?

Re: Need help: "piress" MySQL virus
Fortunately the virus was only on an offsite backup computer, not the server with the data. So my data is safe.
Still, I would like to get rid of this virus.

It may be a pain but my method would be to format and reinstall the test computer at home. Since we don't know how the virus got in or how it may come back. I spend less time overall by doing that rather than trying to clean the system out because I usually end up having to go back to that computer again anyway. Now I just run linux at home and run virtual machines when I need windows, makes it super easy to recover if something goes wrong.
