Feature request lists for trial user

Post by boboffice » Tue Dec 11, 2012 8:32 pm

I am a future OD user. Our conversion, from SoftDent, will be later this month. Our test conversion went well, and I'm really excited. My question is this: how can a trial/future user view the feature request list so I learn from it? Thanks.

This page should walk you through that entire process: http://opendental.com/manual/featurerequests.html

I understand the process... was just hoping to view the current list.

I don't think there is a way to look as a trial user without going to another office that uses OD and looking on their systems. If you call Open Dental they can usually provide a list of offices in your area that are on Open Dental.

Sorry, I didn't read your post carefully enough. Open Dental has lots of logic for how many votes your office has to use and other checks that require information gathered upon the registration key. I can see how it would be very nice to at least be able to view the current requests with a trial edition but it would take a while to write the code to accomplish this. With this being the first time I've actually heard the complaint, I don't think it will get enhanced to do that any time soon based on all the other things in our to do list.

Congratulations boboffice. The Open Dental team is very good at helping with anything you call in about. You can also ask questions on this forum and get less expert help from the rest of us :-)

Thanks. That was a big factor in my decision. As long as the conversion goes well (and the world doesn't end... it's 12/21/12) all will be great!

I have been one who would like to see what the feature requests are as a developer for a long time....
