Why is a prosthesis date required for a periodic exam, D0120

I am a periodontist and I use the code D0120 for a periodontal re-evaluation after scaling and root planing. Open Dental requires me to enter a prosthesis date for EVERY patient who has the D0120 code, even if they have no restorations.

I suspect this may fix the problem.

Go to List ~ Procedure Codes

Double Click on D0120 Procedure code to edit it.

Make Sure the box is NOT checked for "Is Prosthesis"
