Windows 8?

Post by B.Thomas » Mon Oct 29, 2012 10:28 pm

Has anyone tried Windows 8 with Open Dental? I usually like to wait until they release the first service pack and work out the kinks.

I have it going on one computer...Windows 8 works fine. (v12.4.12) Used it for one full day now. XDR works fine also.

Drtech,

Did you do an upgrade or fresh install? If upgrade, did XDR make you call in for reactivation? Thanks

Just noting that a customer with a fresh install (new laptop) who called in and said it was running great. I do not recall the version of OD they were using.

upgrade of Win8...seemed flawless, except my startup batch file is not running now that I had in the startup "startmenu" that is no longer there in win8...have to investigate that and figure out how it works now in Win8. No, XDR did not complain. this is just a workstation.
