Secondary claims including primary paid information?

Need some help with secondary ins claims. It does not seem like once you enter the primary insurance Open Dental transfers the paid amounts to show anywhere on the secondary claim? The only thing i can figure out is to write in the claim note by hand? That seems crazy in this computer age. Am I missing something? I can't really find anything in the manual about this.

I'm not sure but I think the information does get transferred if you file electronically, even though it doesn't show up on a printed form. Someone from OD will have to confirm that.

That is correct. Primary insurance payment information is transferred electronically when sending in a secondary claim. It doesn't need to show when you print the claim because the EOB would be mailed along with it.

I think it would be good to have the amts paid in the notes section of the claim for clarity on printed claims, then if the EOB is misplaced by the insurance company (That never happens right?), there are no excuses.
