preferred name

We like the preferred name field, especially since I am a pediatric dentist, the problem I encounter is, that it shows up on the top status line of the screen in quotation marks, that makes it impossible to use the field since we use a bridged imaging program (Patientgallery), once the nickname shows up it can't bridge....any ideas? is that a feature request? I wish we could customize better where the nickname or preferred name shows up

I will have a conversation with myself...Actually the preferred name can stay in the title(which is awesome!), I missed that I do not have to use the patientgallery bridge that we used for practiceworks! Open Dental has a built-in bridge and I just created a new button in my chart module, the built-in bridge can be configured to use first name. last name, birthdate and chart id. This eliminates all our old issues with double names, etc... Believe it or not we even have two patients with double names and same date of birth!
two thumbs way up for open dental, the bridge to imaging is fantastic!!!
