Preventing appointments in Blockout areas

Post by glamorgan » Sat Jun 02, 2012 2:00 am

Hi

When we create a Blockout area in the appointment screen, can we prevent the user from creating an appointment in the blocked area?

You probably want feature request #1464: Appt blockouts enforce only certain procedure codes or appt types. Or you might want to block appointments entirely, which would be request #2394.

No, there is never any timeframe on any request. Every time we try to give an estimate, we get it wrong 100% of the time. It's partly based on demand, so be sure to vote for your priorities.

That would be a nice feature to only allow the designated appointment in the blockout. As for now it is a training and management issue. When I see someone book the wrong type of appointment in the block I use the audit trail to determine who did it, then discuss the importance of staying within the blockouts to keep the clinic running smooth.
