Customizing OD before final conversion

Post by Manny Ramirez » Thu Mar 29, 2012 4:58 pm

Is it possible to customize OD before performing a final conversion and keep the changes already made in the trial conversion ? Doctor has bought the OD license and has paid for the conversion. He wanted to enter all the details before going live. Things such default notes, labs, prescriptions and the likes.

Sharing is caring!

I'm not on the conversion team, so take it with a grain of salt.

You are trying to merge 2 different databases together basically: An empty database with practice info, and the other with patient info via conversion. Possible, but would be lots of work. It would be easier and faster to just enter practice info into the converted database.

Exactly. So the short answer is that no, you should not start customizing OD until after the final conversion.

Wondering then if it is possible to create a model DB and start from there instead of a blank one
