Screen refresh

Post by NODKAY » Thu Nov 08, 2007 6:47 am

I know that the appointment screen refreshes on its own so that all stations can see the changes made to the appoinments, but the other screens only refresh if the module button is pressed or if you go from one module to another and back again. Is it possible to get all modules to refresh on their own? Thanks

Anything is possible. But it's low priority at the moment. The way you avoid this issue is by establishing the proper office flow. While the patient is in the chair, the only person allowed to touch that patient's chart is the chairside assistant. Do not let the patient get up to leave until all chart notes are done and the planned appointment is set. So when the patient walks to the front desk, the receptionist takes over, and nobody else is allowed to touch that patient. The receptionist should do a screen refresh if they already have that patient up. If you follow this office flow, you won't have any problems. If you fail to follow this office flow, the program won't crash or corrupt your data, but it will be fairly annoying when people accidentally mess up what other people are doing. Typical example is when the receptionist jumps the gun and sends the insurance claim. Well, the chairside assistant still needs to change the surfaces that were done, but is no longer allowed to because the claim has been sent.
