Payments after payment plans paid off

Post by drtech » Sun Oct 16, 2011 2:49 pm

I just noticed in 11.1.5, that when my staff enters a payment on a patient with a payment plan it defaults to "attached to payment plan" even when the payment plan is in the past and is already paid off. Shouldn't it default back to not being attached after a payment plan balance is $0? This is causing the estimates to get all messed up with negative numbers on the payment plan until the payments are detached.

Correct, when the Balance column shows $0 a new payment should no longer check that check box by default. Does the patient have multiple payment plans? Are there any splits on any of the payments? (easiest way to tell is to double click on the payment plan and see if any have "(split)" in the description)... It might be easiest to just include a screenshot of the payment plan window if possible (most importantly the Amortization Schedule portion of that window on the right).
The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
