Integrating Imaging hardware & sensors

Hi

Could anyone give me some tips on how we can integrate the vistascan by durr with open dentalCould we directly scan in the images with open dental or must we use the bridging software & also install DBS win another imaging software

Currently we are working well with scanning the Panoramic films with an Epson scanner directly into open dental. Could we use the twain connection to assess the imagines from vistascan directly or would we need to install DBSWIN ( this is the imaging software that comes with the scanner) & import the images later into OPEN dental ?

I use the program link for DBSWIN in the 'program links' menu under 'setup'. I have DBSWIN installed and the OD link requires that DBSWIN is already running and I have to minimise the OD window and open the DBSwin window and the patient record in DBSWIN is open. This link is a bit 'clunky' in comparison to the Trophy/Kodak link which I use for OPGs. With Trophy/Kodak the patient record opens automaticaly when I click on the link button in OD.
