Remote Login for Employees

I would like to do this for my employees also... But the question is - Are you allowed to provide the users to have the remote access?? Is this allowed under HIPAA guidelines? My concern is that you showing patient's medical history, SSN and other sensitive information to employee who is using/sharing the remote machine(employee's home machine or so..).. I would like to do it but just want to make sure that I am not violating any HIPAA or privacy guidelines... Please advise. Thank you.
