Ztoth - tooth note

Post by dand » Tue Oct 16, 2007 9:38 am

Why does the Ztoth code not specify a tooth? If I want the chart to show a specific tooth I can do that by marking the selected teeth from the "show" screen. I like this option then you can see what procedures have been competed/treatment planned for that particular tooth. I would like to also see any notes that I have written for this tooth as well, but Ztoth does not let one specify a tooth....I think it should.

Hmm. I'm not sure how it got that way. In any case, it's a user configurable option, just like for any procedure code. In the proc code edit window, change the area of the mouth to tooth.

Navagation re Tooth and Clinic Notes..

Post by Yorek » Wed Oct 17, 2007 7:00 pm

As both of these entries are meant for clinic notes,
Shouldn't they open with one single click
To the text box
Ready for immediate typing of our notes.

Now, they first appear under the progress notes area, with no notes..
Then have to be double clicked to open, so text can be entered.
Not a big deal, but if easy to program the change it would be appreciated.

One exception is for Tooth Note..
if you Don't select a # tooth from the graphic chart display
It works as it should with One Click.

This mssg thread reminded me of the quirk.

Thanks again.

I agree that would be better. There are just other very pressing needs right now. We'll get back to that at some point.

I temp solved the problem by making a NoFee code and naming it Tooth Note, defined it as a tooth procedure code. This works fine. I agree with the previous comments about limiting the number of clicks. It would even be nice if:
1. it didn't require as many clicks(as per previous post)
2. it didn't have a procedure code attached to it, so it would not show up on walkout and monthy statements
3. not be able to permanently delete it, for audit purposes, which of course it already has this feature.

I like this code as, well as the clinical note code, as there are times when I wish to make comments in the chart that are not necessarily connected with a procedure code

Just some thoughts.
