Printing clinical progress notes

Post by fishdrzig » Wed Mar 23, 2011 7:13 am

When a patient transfers, is there a way to print out clinical progress notes and not show the cost for the procedures?

Yes. In the chart module, go to the "Show"tab in the upper right hand side. Create a chart view that does not include "Amount" and then use that view to print the notes.

Tried that, but don't see the option to not check amount?

What version are you on? Do you have an "ADD" button in the "SHOW" tab to add different chart views?

Go to the Chart Module.
Click on the Show Tab.
Hit +Add.
Enter a Description for this chart view, so you can identify this one does not show procedure amounts.
In the middle where it says Fields Showing, highlight Amount.
Hit the blue right arrow button so it moves the Amount field to the Available fields list. (This removes the Amount column from your newly added chart view).
Now hit OK.
In the Show Tab under Chart Views you should now see the chart view you just created with the description you entered.
Highlight this view. Notice that your progress note changes, you should no longer have the Amount column in your progress notes.
Now you can print your notes.
