Unsent procedures

Post by fschiopu » Thu Oct 04, 2007 3:30 pm

Hi,

I have noticed that if we do not enter the treatment the same day for a patient with insurance, and we do it the next day using the original date of treatment the procedures do not appear as unsent in the account module, and also the unsent claims report doesn't detect them too. We are using OD 5.1.13. Is there anything wrong with our setup?

You must not be using our Appointments module. That would help automate the dates. The whole thing is optimized for real time fast entry with everything done before the patient walks out the door. Yes, you are allowed to instead enter it the next day, but more responsibility will fall on you to get it right. I think what's actually happening in your case is that you entered the insurance info after the treatment. If the insurance had been entered before the treatment, then it would have worked out. Otherwise, how is the computer supposed to know that the patient had insurance on that date?
