Recalls based on insurance plan?

Post by khdilger » Wed Sep 01, 2010 6:39 pm

The practice I bought accepts Medicaid. There are a fair number of Medicaid patients, but plenty of other non Medicaid patients. I would like to generate a list from the recall list but I would like to either find out who the medicaid patients are and / or exclude those patients from the recall list. I want to send out letters to patients who have not been in but I do not want to send them to medicaid patients.

Is there a way to at a minimum include the patients insurance carrier, or exclude patients based on insurance carrier? Possibly a custom query?

Any help greatly appreciated

Don't know if you can do that, but you can generate a list of all your patients that have Medicaid.
Go to Reports, click Insurance Plans, and enter "Medicaid". I'm assuming Medicaid is set up as one of your insurance plans.
When you are doing recalls, anyone on the list can be skipped or their recall can be disabled.
