Dental Senders and Open Dental

Post by hjoesaar » Fri Mar 05, 2010 7:14 am

I've been using Dental Senders with OD since 2008 and it's worked well for confirming appointments but it hasn't worked for Recare/Recall or reactivating dormant patients. I've updated DS software but it doesn't seem to deliver the latter reminders. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

Correction.....

I do not use Dental Senders.....I use AGD PatientAlerts.......which is suppose to be a beefed up Dental Senders for Academy of General Dentistry members....

Hi All,

I'll get the engineers onto this and see where we are missing your data. This must be a local configuration issue as i have checked other OD accounts and their recare/dormant is working fine. Please email me ( tony.mcmanus@elexity.com ) with your office number so we can jump on your computer and resolve this. Sorry for any inconvenience. Our goal is not to be second best so we will rectify this for you if at all possible.

Regards,

Tony

Tony,
I too seem to have the same issue with dormant and recare with DS and OD.
Appt. confirmations, newsletters, surveys, and invisalign works fine.
thanks,
rich

Mine works and works well. I called Tony several months back and they were able to correct the issue. The recare/dormant patient reactivation along with letters and post cards have really gotten my patient load and production up. I remember reading somewhere that you have to touch a potential client or existing client at least three times to get them to respond. Dental Senders automates a lot of the communication with patients.

This is a followup to my original problem. Tony from Dental Senders was great and he got our reminders rolling within a few minutes. It works great for daily appointment reminders but we've found that it only sends out 1-3 recare messages daily and we're still figuring out the parameters for the dormant recativation. Overall, for a totally free service, it's great.

It sounds like you may not have all your patient's email addresses entered.
Or that some procedure codes are not included in the Dental Senders end.
