How can I solve the message (0xc0000135)

Post by mma280 » Sat Feb 13, 2010 9:44 am

I am upgrading work station computers, remapping and download OD from Server.
The following message show up " The application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000135).Click on OK to terminate the application."
I tried to call OD tech support since 10:00 A:M PST. Seem like they are closed on Saturday.

Thanks for your help.

We are open on Saturday. Did you try leaving a message if all the techs were busy? I will look into what happened.

I don't recognize that message. What version? Also I don't quite understand when it's happening. When you try to install or when you try to run the newly installed program?

Yes we will be open Monday.

I still don't understand. What does "download from the server" mean? Which of the following?:
1. You copied the Setup.exe from the server to the local machine and then successfully used it to install OD.
2. You ran the Setup.exe directly from the server and used it to successfully install OD.
3. All the files got copied automatically by our file copier tool when you tried to connect to the new version from an older workstation.

Is OD running successfully on the server? So the only problem is workstations? Is it working on any of your workstations? If you used option 3 above, did you try option 2 after that in case the files were somehow bad? Are you upgrading from a very old version of OD?

[img]Yes, you are right. I am not download from server. I just remap and copy from server data.
I tried option 1 and 2. Attach photo is after I tried option 2 and the message pop up.
I have 6 workstations and I am upgrading 4 old desktop computers to new desktop computers. I am not updating to new version, just remap and copy from server to new desktop.
OD is running successfully on the server and 2 old workstations.[/img]

You can email me the image. jsparks@free-dental.com. I'm afraid I don't understand what "remap and copy" means. I will assume that you purchased 4 new computers and are trying to add them as new OD workstations. You are not trying to move the database to a new server, right? I'll wait to see the screenshot.

Thanks,Dr.Sparks. It solved the problem. I called to OD support this morning and they asked me to download and Install the Microsoft dotNET framework version 3.5 SP1.
It is running O.K now.
