Removal Hard Drive Encryption

Post by DavidWolf » Tue Feb 09, 2010 6:05 am

Does anyone have advice on the best way to encrypt their "mobile" backup data?

Thanks.

Most harddrives come with backup software that also handles encryption. For example:

Looks great. Of course, we hope to provide our customers an online service very soon that handles backup of OD in the background and with no setup involved.

The disadvantages are that our backup service would be a little slower, would not initially include images, and would not include any other critical office data other than the Open Dental database. But the backup service as we envision it would not be a paid service. Later enhancements might be extra, but basic backup of the database should be an included free service.
