After Restore...Image Not Found

Post by savvy » Mon Jan 04, 2010 10:18 pm

Recently, after backing up OD from office server on a Sandisk 8GB flashdrive then restoring on home computer, then attempting to open previously accessible images get a message......File not found.
What gives?

OD version 6.9.3.0

You mean not accessible on the home computer, right? I don't know. Keep track of which image it was, and then back at the office, see if that image file is read-only.

All images.
In the Image module of the restored home computer is the, from what I can tell, the same listed images as on the office server. However, when any image is selected the message Image Not Found appears.
All patients that have photos associated with there Family info have "thumbnail not available" in the area where their picture would be.

UPDATE!!

Post by savvy » Tue Jan 05, 2010 8:47 pm

UPDATE-

Problem solved.
In the past, when I would restore to my home computer, the process asked where the images would be stored (Restore A-Z Images to this file, Example C\opendentalimages).
In the past, that would be all that was necessary (I have been doing just that for the last 4-5 years with no issues).
Now, that same assertion is presented, however......
one now must go into Setup/Data Paths and change it there as well.
Anyway....I have images again.
