Search by email Address

Is there any way to look up a patient by their email address?

It has come to my attention that when we send out mass emails some are rejected because of an invalid email address. Either we entered it wrong or the account has been cancelled. In either case, the patient's name doesn't show on the returned email, just the email address. So I want to look up whose address it is and can't figure out how.

Hmm. I guess the only way I can think of is a query.

This is something we search for all the time...

Jordan, can you add it to the Select Patient Dialog box? BTW, is that box customizable at all? Right now there's Last Name, First Name, Birthdate, etc... Email would be very useful...

Yes, the columns in the patient select window are totally customizable. See the Display Fields feature. The search boxes at the right are not customizable, and the request would be to add email as a search box and also as an available column.

88% of our patients have an email address. We are constantly communicating with them and very occasionally, patients email us questions or requests without adding their names! This would be very very helpful

Until then, you could use a query.
SELECT LName,FName FROM patient WHERE email = 'joe@msn.com'
