Audit Trail

Post by parksjdp » Mon Nov 23, 2009 7:49 am

Is there a way to limit staff from seeing the audit trail in the appt edit window? I have it restricted in the actual drop down audit trail under misc, however they still have access to some of it through the appt edit window.

Not yet. Since that audit trail does not show any financial info, we decided it was safe for anyone to view. It helps ordinary users know who is making changes to each appointment.

How do I allow access to the full audit trail under the Tools menu? I looked for it in the security setup, but I don't see it as a choice.
Do they have to have access to the security admin section? If possible I would like managers to be able to access the audit trail, but I don't want them to be able to change the security section.

Yes, for now, it takes the Admin permission to access the audit trail. I would not give that permission to your managers, so it looks like we need another permission.
