Make/Find Appt

Post by Hersheydmd » Thu Aug 06, 2009 7:24 pm

I am having a problem with the Make/Find Appt feature. Whenever looking for a short 20 minute appoinment, OD suggests times that are not real openings, ie. the last 10 minutes of an existing appt and the first 10 minutes of the next appointment. This is because the first 10 and last 10 minutes are automatically colored white as assistant's time. I want the entire appointment to show up as doctor time so OD doesn't think I am available. Is there a way to set this up in preferences?

I think you should vote for request 748: Appointment opening search by chair time instead of provider time.

A related request would be 548: Appointment time pattern calculation logic based on fixed times.

Yes PLEASE PLEASE VOTE for these:

548: Appointment time pattern calculation logic based on fixed times.
210: Allow appointment time length locked check box to be the default.

We manually over-ride OD's logic on every single appointment we make to allow the search function and the appointment length to work correctly.

You don't need to vote on 210 because if you manually change the length of the appointment from inside, that box becomes checked.

That is true - but if you don't manually change the time then it stays unlocked and then will change automatically if at a later time you edit the procedures linked to the appointment!

My dream is that the automatic time calculation just be turned off. It is IMPOSSIBLE for a single algorythm to be able to predict the amount of time each individual dentist needs in a MULTIPLE PROCEDURE DENTAL APPOINTMENT!!!!!

Can we merge closely linked request?
The similar request number is actually 210. I messed that up in the original request.
I just editted it, to correct the feature number.
