What do you recommend for signatures for chart entries? We have a number of hygienists in the office and since the Topaz pad records pressure and speed, I wonder if initials or even printed signatures would work out. It would be a lot easier to figure out who made the entry.

Hmm. I'm not a forensic document analyst. But like you said, the digital pad captures the same pressure and speed info that a pen and paper captures. So it's a more general question of whether printed letters are a valid signature and whether initials are valid. I know I use my initials in a variety of legal documents, usually within the document when my full signature is at the end. So it does seem to pull some weight. You might ask an attorney. I just don't know.
